Amazing staff makes the place

5/55/5 • 13.09.2025

First time Club Med family, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

For me, the staff are the highlight of the place. I never had one bad interaction with any of the staff and they all feel really genuine in their service. We'd like to send a shout out to Tarryn who looked after the Amazing family program during our stay and Victoria, Melanie and Diane in KidsClub who always took the opportunity to interact with our 4 year old. All the KidsClub staff in general are amazing, they have such a tough job but perform it flawlessly.

The food was also amazing. Having heard the dangers of Bali belly, we were a little bit anxious about eating the food, but after a few days we were super confident in Club Med's quality and had no issues during our stay. Lunch and dinner always had something different, I don't think I can recall a single repeat dish. Quality can vary between dishes, but I was overall very impressed for a resort buffet.

Resort is very well maintained; they have a huge grounds and maintenance staff, always see them busy at work. I saw a tile near the pool break and it was repaired by the next morning with a warning sign over it while it cured. We had no issues with our rooms.

There is loud music being played almost every night at the pool bar, so request a room further away from the main compound if you're like me and don't like thumps in the night.

Final tip would be, as this is a resort you kinda need to bring all your leisure items with you. For example, pool toys are very limited to a few balls now and then, but most days you have to bring your own. There is a boutique shop with bits and pieces, but it is very expensive (for AUD currency anyway). You'd have to travel towards the shopping malls 30mins away for reasonable groceries and items.

My suggestions to the Chief for improvements are

  • be nice to invest some more money into some of the smaller Amazing Family activities; Tarryn delivers and interacts amazingly but some of the materials she had on hand let the experience down. For example, postcard making would've been so much more better if they were actually postcard quality cardboard and stamps were provided to post them home. I understand this a cost issue, but for what is paid by guests I think this would be nice to elevate some of these activities.
  • breakfast was a bit boring after awhile. Would be nice to show some more variety into the hot foods.
  • safety; I didn't recall receiving one single safety briefing during my stay. Given there's tsunami evacuation signs around, Bali's history of emergencies and guests are dropping kids off at Kids Club, I would've thought there'd be a need to provide guests with some information about what happens during an emergency.

Fabulous holiday at Club Med Bali, as always!

5/55/5 • 12.09.2025

Spent 10 wonderful nights at Club Med Bali. Thank you to Houssem & the team for making this visit so enjoyable. Particular shout-out to tennis coach Lee - having been to this resort many times & played tennis, I would say that Lee is my all-time favourite coach. Lee put so much care into making sure every session had just the right balance of fun, technique, & exercise - it really added to my holiday, thank you!
