Punta Cana Dominican Republic

Great, "easy" family trip - particularly for those with young children. Weather was fabulous, newly refurbished rooms were nice. Baby items were very welcomed, and great to have them already in the room upon arrival (crib, baby bath, bottle warmer, etc.). Rooms were clean and tidied up promptly each morning. Areas for improvement: Food was hit or miss. Some items tasty, some lacking. I noticed a few times that items needing refrigeration were at room temperature and/or warm after hours of sitting out - this was most concerning for the opened cartons of milk at the baby station. A few bartenders appeared unnecessarily surly, and towel stations are located few and far between across a large area. The gym could also use an upgrade - was a little dated and had a strong chemical cleaning smell. But on the whole, a nice and relaxing trip. Most staff were friendly, and our son enjoyed the kids club. Would recommend, particularly for those looking for a long weekend getaway from the States or elsewhere. I think the key is to go in a lower season so that the resort can really shine. We were there when there were apparently ~800 guests at a place that can normally hold ~2000 people. It was nice to feel like you had pockets of the resort to yourself, no rush for beach chairs, ample towels, etc.

My sister and I spent a week in the Zen Oasis section of the resort. The surroundings were lush and serene. We enjoyed daily smoothies from the bar. Our room was just steps from the gorgeous pool. We loved our meals at all three restaurants, especially the variety of fresh and roasted vegetables, the ceviche, and grilled proteins.

The highlight of our trip was playing tennis each day. Ramon, Javier and team are seasoned and encouraging coaches. We participated in both clinics and doubles tournaments. We had so much fun! I would definitely recommend.

Club Med Punta Cana was fantastic. Shout out to the wonderful tennis team; Javier, Ramone and Germaine. Javier went out of his way to give us such excellent tips and thoughtful analysis of our swings, Such a welcoming and supportive coach!
We’re so sad to see Club Med slowly scale back its tennis offerings in other resorts! It’s the only reason we picked Punta Cana. Please bring back more tennis! It was our third time back to Punta Cana and we loved the Renos . As always, excellent food!

We had a very good stay overall and a lot of fun. The GO Team was great as always, and Youyou truly stood out, he brought amazing energy to every activity and created a great atmosphere around the resort.

Food was excellent. We especially enjoyed the dinners and the beautiful presentation of the dishes. The seafood was very fresh, and the ceviche was outstanding. We also loved having the beach BBQ option for lunch, our kids really enjoyed it.

The daytime parties were very fun, especially the foam party. The evening entertainment and dancing were also great and created a very lively atmosphere.

A big thank you to the team for handling the seaweed situation so well. We honestly did not expect to swim, but the beach was cleaned beautifully.

Service in restaurants and bars felt a bit less consistent this time. It was sometimes difficult to get coffee at breakfast or wine at dinner, and bartender service depended a lot on the person, especially at Indigo in the mornings.

Our kids also loved the circus activities. The trapeze experience is such a unique and fun opportunity for children, and the entire circus team, especially Arkady, was incredibly friendly, professional, and encouraging throughout the stay.

The renovated family rooms have some nice improvements, the kids’ room is much better now, with proper beds and a real door. However, the previous separate closet/storage area was more practical than the current open layout.
