Amazing holiday
My family and I spent an amazing holiday in this resort. It's started with a wonderful welcome from Harisson and his team, everything was perfect. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. My sons enjoyed the ski and they want to come back as soon as possible, thanks to Amir for taking care of them. Thanks also for Alisson, the meals were very good and the restaurant well managed. Special thanks to Bambi, Vivianne, and Jason to have made our holidays magic.

You will have a great time no matter you are Chinese or foreigner
We arrived end of Jan during the CNY break, and had a fantastic time.
The snow condition had been great with different varieties of slopes and difficulties, the resort is right by the mountain and with great coaches. We arrived in fresh snow and amazed by how powerful the snow trucks are making even more snow.
We had a suite, the room is spacious, the bathroom especially. The resort has gym, mat area, ping pong tables and pool tables, not to mention karaoke private rooms…very Asian in this aspect!
The best is that there’s this huge onsen palace at the opposite of the resort which is a great perk and a must go!
The chef cooked great Sichuanese food, not sure if it’s to everyone’s likes, but definitely to mine. However, my English husband wished there were more varieties catered to foreigners. Other than that, he had little complain and also wishes to go back. You can have a great time there no matter if you are Chinese or foreigner.
Special shout out to Chief de village Harrison, boutique shop’s Vivian, restaurant director Roger, and snowboard coaches Aussie Tom, Jaa and Zac. We had a great time!

Both great and not
Above all else, you will get a different experience whether or not you can speak Mandarin Chinese. Most of the staff do not speak English, including the kids club and the ski instructors. This is my fourth club med and this Club Med (along with the others in China as I understand) are focused on the local Chinese market whereas the others that I have been to are for international travelers. The guests here were dominated by Chinese locals.
The biggest reason that I chose Club Med is for the ski lessons for my kids. They were near useless. They were put in a group of 10 (max 12), didn't speak English, and the instructors barely knew the level of any particular student, especially as the instructor often changes from day to day. This was not my experience in my previous Club Med resort. After two days, I gave up and hired a private instructor. I have posted the rates in the photos and it was not cheap, but felt that I had little choice. I also posted the ski rental rates as it can actually work out cheaper to rent onsite. I advise NOT to pre-book rentals. My initial room was also much smaller than the floorplan booked online and not what I paid for. While this was fixed shortly after check in, I do worry what would have happened if the hotel was fully booked and nothing else was available.
On the positive side, the GO was fantastic and very attentive. We went over Chinese New Year, and they had dragon dancing, fireworks, BBQ, and nightly entertainment. As far as non-skiing entertainment, I could not have asked for more. Over the holiday, the buffet was a feast, including seafood, lobster, and every roast meat I could imagine. My stomach was not big enough to eat everything that I wanted.
Beidahu as a ski resort is great and facilities are modern. As for the size, it is fair to just compare the numbers (lifts, runs) found online. If I lived closer, I would go again for the ski resort.
Great: the food, the nightly entertainment, the room. The staff make a great effort on these.
Not great: The group lessons. The price transparency.
Would I recommend this place? If you speak Mandarin Chinese and already know how to ski (i.e., don't need the group lessons), then I would say absolutely! Otherwise, it's a maybe depending on your circumstances. To be fair, it is cheaper than the Club Med in Japan or Europe.
