What are the different climates in the Maldives ?
Located off Sri Lanka, the Islands of the Maldives have a tropical climate. With their white sandy beaches as far as the eye can see and breathtaking coloured lagoons, all that is tropical is there to make your dream holiday come true.
However, the Maldives is not spared the monsoon and rainy seasons. Two seasons stand out.
The Iruwai high season, a dry period, perfect for holidaymakers, with the islands benefiting from the "protection" of Sri Lanka.
Then there is Hulhangu, the wet season, when the sea and the rains are more intense in the northeast of the archipelago. Note that the rains in a tropical climate are relatively brief and intense. The Maldives climate is highly valued for its constant temperatures and warm waters. The humidity in the area is higher during the second part of the year.

When to go to the Maldives ?
With temperatures between 30 and 32°C, the water is always warm and pleasant - the Maldives is the perfect destination for people who live in a temperate climate. But when to go?
According to your availability and holiday dates you should note that the dry season begins in November and ends in April. This period is generally the one chosen by most holidaymakers wanting to enjoy the warm sand and sea.
The high season is between December and February, when you can spend your holiday in the sun, on the beach with your children. It is possible during this time of year! The low season also offers its advantages: diving, surfing and exploring the islands off the beaten track.
